Artist's statement:

Io Bonini believes we all could use a break from our current political malaise. Something fun. Something witty. After all it's the Holidays. And with that thought in mind she offers you her:
Carnival of the Bonini's
A collection of recent paintings
Drawing ideas from her collection of Christmas songs and literature
(specifically Bradbury's , "Something Wicked This Way Comes"),
Bonini has assembled an amusing and colorful holiday show.
Presiding over our Carnival is "Jack", a richly painted Master of Ceremonies, based upon a character in Bradbury's infamous traveling carnival. This piece invites you in to Bucci's back room, where you will find Io's humorous interpretations of "A Partridge in a Pear Tree" and "The Three French Hens' inspired by the holiday carol
"The Twelve Day's of Christmas".

Included in the exhibit are an assortment of her portraits painted in a personal array of rich hues and textures, which her entourage of friends and followers have devoted themselves to since her earliest days as an artist.
And so with much aplomb, Io and Bucci's invites you to "take a break" and join us in celebrating her "Bonini's Carnival' and leave the political stress at home.
