Artist's statement:
Teresa Mae has always been interested in art. The art of living is creating life and experiences to capture moments that remain in the memory for a lifetime. Painting is a very personal ritual
for her. Most of her art is captured from her own photography while visiting exciting destinations or just on a walk nearby. A graduate of the Academy of Art in San Francisco, she learned to
be an illustrator in the classical form. Realism is fascinating.
The pieces illustrated here are of her watercolor collection. She especially enjoys commission pieces of portraiture or developing a
concept designed for that very personal situation. A recent commission was a Christmas gift for an employer who deserved special recognition from his staff for his generosity throughout the year.
Presently she is working on an acrylic collection of "Heart Statements". As an illustrator she likes to work in many different medias and uses a variety of techniques to capture the precious moments
of life. It is with great pleasure to be showing in Bucci's.
Above are the watercolors of "Orleans Jazz" : the house becomes a personality. Visualize the people that occupied this dwelling. Can you
hear the music?, "The Forum": How majestic this ground where Romans trod., "The Gladiator": The triumphant coliseum has stood the test of time and aged with dignity and "coraggio" , and
"The Rose in Armor": A single rose blushes in full bloom. Pray for peace.
