Liquid Light: Along the Way
Karen Frock is a photographic artist specializing in hand-painted black and white photography and architectural landscapes. Liquid Light: Along the Way utilizes liquid light on paper. Liquid Light is an alternative photographic process by which a liquid photographic emulsion (silver gelatin) is used to coat a variety of surfaces and materials including stone, silk, canvas, and almost any type of paper. Once a surface has been coated this process allows for black & white negatives to be printed onto those surfaces. Especially created for Bucci's, this collection of images captures the splendor of exploring foreign lands, and brings a unique perspective to moments and objects we see "along the way". The effect is moody, contemplative, and evocative. The work of Karen Frock has been shown in over twenty exhibitions internationally, and is in private collections throughout the world
