Artist's statement:

Maryly Snow was born in Oakland, California, raised in Piedmont, attended Anna Head School in Berkeley, and the University of California, Berkeley where she took degrees in Social Welfare and Library and Information Studies. Today Maryly is a painter, photographer, printmaker, and collector of toothbrushes. Her work on paper generally focuses on the relationships between art, science, and world events.

Maryly has exhibited her work professionally since 1973 with Van Straaten Gallery in Chicago, and Van Doren, Tom Luttrell, Nathan Hart, Hatley-Martin, Judith Litvitch and SFMOMA Artist galleries in San Francisco. Maryly is a Distinguished Emeritus Librarian from the University of California, Berkeley, retired since 2006, and has been a member of California Society of Printmakers since 1990.

Maryly’s work is currently available through Branch Gallery, Oakland; Kala Art Gallery, Berkeley; and SFMOMA Artists Gallery in San Francisco. A detailed resume is available at her website.
