| Margo White's statement:

I began creating art as a young child and my interest in it has continued throughout my life. I attended the
California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland where I earned BFA in painting.

Over the years I have taught art to children and adults, have been involved in book illustration and toy
design and have also done film animation for Sesame Street and IBM. For a period of time I created
children's murals in private homes and in commercial spaces. I have sold my graphics, watercolors
and collages in the Bay Area, Northern California, Los Angeles and New York.

I often start my collage work without being tied down to a preconceived idea. Paper is torn or cut as shapes
and concepts begin to emerge with a life of their own. When the design feels right, it is glued down while finishing
touches are more thought out.

I work with young children during the day who continually remind me that life is full of whimsy and magic and
that above all, anything is possible.
Judy Grunwald's statement

Patterns in nature are a continual source of inspiration for my work. Beginning with botanical illustration many years ago, I've since diverged from the literal interpretation to a more abstracted reference in collage and fiber art. Compositions in paper and hand-stitched layers of fabric reflect the unexpected visual relationships I see in the outside world.
